Many people may not have time to participate in activities. However, the online participation platform makes things much easier as you can access it at any time. Another benefit is increased community participation and trust. Online participation methods offer many opportunities for both organizations and community participants. This allows for deeper participation and a better participation experience. PLN creates interactive online spaces to lay the foundation for ongoing participation.

In general, when people understand how to get involved in a project, where to get information, and how to access the end result of a project, people will trust them. The popularity of social media has a significant impact on the level of interaction between residents and governments. Residents and community members can submit real-time comments and responses to city events and decisions. Additionally, most popular social media platforms are free, providing a cheap or free way for governments to interact directly with their citizens.

The use of social media platforms for community engagement varies according to factors such as age, gender, and level of education, but it is certain that the presence of social media platforms is being used as a powerful tool for public engagement. . Social media can be a very useful tool for remote community participation and collaboration, but it is important to understand and manage the risks associated with these platforms. A common problem with social media is the rapid spread of misinformation and inaccurate content online. For example, during this time of his COVID-19, misleading and inaccurate medical information can threaten the lives of communities and residents.
